Benchmark
SC.F.2.1.1 knows that living things have offspring that resemble
their parents.
We chose this benchmark for a couple of reasons. First, we thought it was fairly
simple and would be easy to focus on. Little did we know what the web would provide
in terms of information. Second, we thought that a lesson in heredity would be an
excellent opportuniy for the teacher to relate science to the child's own world.
